Four days had passed since we had first arrived at Kelg, and I was strolling through the town along with Yuki and Natsuki. Touya had been left behind by himself, but it wasn’t because his reading speed was slow. It was merely due to the fact that he had taken a lot more breaks compared to the rest of us. Touya stood up every one or two hours and told the rest of us that he was heading out to “gather” information. I had checked to see what he was actually up to, and it seemed like he was enjoying himself while chatting with some of the receptionist ladies at the guild. That in itself wasn’t bad by any means, but it also meant that he had to remain behind by himself to make up for the lost time. As for Haruka, she had finished reading the booklets quite fast, and she headed out to Yasue’s place in order to teach her how to use some skills. Yasue had copied skills from me and Touya as well, but skills like Cooking and Sewing were more useful for everyday life. The rest of our skills were ones that only adventurers would use on a daily basis, so Haruka would only teach them to Yasue if we had some more spare time. As for why I was strolling through Kelg with Yuki and Natsuki, it was because one of the reasons why we had decided to visit Kelg was to look around for bookstores.

“This should be the area that Yasue told us to look around, right?” Natsuki asked.

“Yeah, it should be. Oh, I think we found the place! Wait, hold on.” Yuki was walking at the front, and she pointed at a store with her fingers before she ran over to the poster that was on the door of the store. “What’s this? Hmm...”

The poster in front of Yuki had the words “Books on sale! Fifty percent off on all goods!” written on it.

“Huh?! A sale with fifty percent off on all books?!” Yuki exclaimed. “In this world?!”

Yuki raised her voice out of surprise after she had finally realized the contents of the poster, but her reaction was a perfectly normal one. I had never heard of a sale at a bookstore in this different world up until now, and I also hadn’t seen any posters like this before due to the fact that most ordinary citizens were illiterate. On top of that, most books were one-of-a-kind products that were very valuable. It wouldn’t be too unusual to find stacks of paper that weren’t in the form of a book or things that were unlikely to sell such as grimoires on Time Magic sold for dirt cheap, but sales for the entire inventory of a store were very unusual.

“Well, I guess posters at bookstores aren’t too weird,” said Yuki. “The customers that visit bookstores are people who are literate, after all.”

“Mm. However, we sure are lucky to come across a store with books on sale right away,” said Natsuki.
